OSHA Surpasses 700 Inspections In Texas For 2015

inspection-increase

In its first 82 days of 2015, OSHA has made 706 inspections to Texas businesses all over the state. Most of the inspections conducted so far by OSHA have not yet reached the point where penalties are published. OSHA has up to six months to decide if citations will carry monetary penalties, then the penalties are presented to the allegedly offending company and posted forever on OSHA’s website.

OSHA has posted inspection details along with penalties to a handful of allegedly offending companies, including a small plumbing company in Pasadena, Texas, who has been slapped with a $25,960 OSHA penalty, and a “Mom & Pop” hardware store in Edinburg, saddled with a $17,500 penalty.
