OSHA Delays Electronic Submission of Records Requirement

Safety First News
May 18, 2017

As expected, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) announced yesterday it is delaying a previous requirement for employers to submit injury and illness records electronically by July 1 of this year.

On its website, OSHA announced it, “…is not accepting electronic submissions of injury and illness logs at this time, and intends to propose extending the July 1, 2017 date by which certain employers are required to submit the information from their completed 2016 Form 300A electronically. Updates will be posted to this webpage when they are available.”

For now, employers have no additional responsibility to submit injury and illness records electronically to OSHA.
